China Self-reliant on National Defense Development: FM Spokeman

The Chinese Foreign Ministry says China relies on itself to enhance its power of national defense, and has also cooperated in some areas with other countries.

Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao said this in response to a question about Israel cancelling the sale of airborne warning systems to China.

He says no country has the right to interfere in the cooperation between China and other countries.

He stresses that agreements and understandings reached between states should be observed.

Commenting on Russia's new diplomatic concept of strengthening relations with Asia, especially China, Zhu says China welcomes it.
