The 17th Qingdao Economic and Trade Fair opened Wednesday in Qingdao, an eastern China port city, attracting 754 domestic firms and 98 enterprises from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The world's famous chain stores such as the Carrefour of France and some of the world's top 500 industrial enterprises such as Japan's Mitsubishi and Sweden's Ericsson also came to the seven-day event.
It is learned that Shandong Province put forward 1,027 investment projects involving optical fiber, bio-medicine and other high-tech industries, involving a total investment of 10.37 billion US dollars.
