Air China Plane Veers off Runway
A Boeing-737 passenger plane scheduled to fly to Beijing veered off a runway at the Pudong International Airport at 12:59 Wednesday, but the more than 160 crew and passengers were all reported safe, sources said in Shanghai.
The airport was closed temporarily and some international and domestic arrivals and departures were transferred to the Hongqiao International Airport.
By 16:14, the plane had been towed away for check up and the airport resumed operation.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
