100 Nigerians Killed in Pipeline Blast
Many of the 100 charred corpses found among the debris of a gasoline pipeline explosion in Nigeria were schoolchildren. A reporter for Lagos' Daily Times newspaper said he counted 100 bodies at the scene near the villages of Adeje and Odiri-Court in the oil-rich Niger Delta, and many of the victims were wearing school uniforms. Witnesses and reporters also said the pipeline was damanged by vandals. A petroleum fire continued to rage Tuesday.
