US Defense Secretary Arrives in China
US Defense Secretary William Sebastian Cohen arrived in Beijing Tuesday afternoon, kicking off his five- day visit to China.
Cohen is paying the visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart
Chi Haotian
.
Chi, who is also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor, will hold formal talks with Cohen tomorrow.
The two militaries are expected to sign an agreement during Cohen's stay.
Besides Beijing, Cohen will also visit Shanghai.
