More Graduates Choose to Work in Western China

An increased number of college graduates choose to work in China's western regions, according to CCTV reports.

Incomplete statistics show that of key university graduates, the number of graduates who have chosen to work in western China has shown a 5% to 10 % growth over previous years.

Chen Kedeng, a student of Beijing University of Science and Technology, said that when he received college admission notice four year ago, he vowed that he would not go back to Guizhou, his hometown. But he changed his mind right away later. He said he has refused commissioning certificates from some enterprises in Beijing, Guangzhou and other economic-well-developed cities as he thought to himself that he can better realize his value back to work in Guizhou.

A teacher in the university said that it was hard to persuade students to choose to work in western areas in previous years and that since China's western development policies have been out the zeal for students to work in western regions has increased a lot.
