China Issues Postcards Featuring 100 Artists
China will issue a set of postcards featuring 100 famous Chinese artists and performers to mark the sixth China Arts Festival, scheduled for this September in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province.
The triennial event is the biggest showcase of China's artistic achievements, according to one local official.
Included on each postcard is a brief introduction of the artist along with his or her photograph and signature.
The cards were designed by the Jiangsu Provincial Post Bureau.
The artists include painters, calligraphers, singers, film stars, musicians, writers and opera singers.
