Over One Million People in China Gained Computer Qualification Certificates
By the end of the first half of this year China saw an accumulated number of 1.37 million people pass through the national computer grade exam, thereby having obtained the computer-qualification certificates.
According to National Education Examinations Authority, a total of 667000 people put in their names for the national computer grade exams in the first half of this year, an increase of 120000 over that of the same period of last year, or a rise of 22%. Among them, 230000 participants have got the qualification-certificates, accounting for 34.49 % of the total. Along with the widening use of computer in social life, many enterprises require their employee to master some computer knowledge or some know-hows in operation. This has stirred up the people's enthusiasm in the learning and applying for the exam. By the end of June, 3.42 million people have entered their names for the exam. To provide convenience to mass exam participants, a total of 897 exam venues have been set in all provinces, autonomous regions and cities with the exception of Tibet.
