Vice-Premier Wen Jiabao Meets Cambodian Guests
Vice-Premier Wen Jiabao said Monday during a meeting with a senior official of the Funcinpec Party of Cambodia that the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese government hope to strengthen its relations with the Funcinpec Party and Cambodia with the aim to bring China- Cambodia friendly relations to a new high.
Wen, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, told You Hockry, also minister of state and co-minister of the Interior Affairs of Cambodia, that China highly values the development of its friendly and cooperative relations with Cambodia over the past years.
The Chinese vice-premier stressed that China appreciates the one-China stand of the Funcinpec Party and the Cambodian government.
You Hockry said that the Cambodia-China friendly relations has a long history, and China is a sincere friend of Cambodia. He said the Funcinpec Party will always uphold its one-China policy, as it has done in the past.
You Hockry and his delegation arrived here on Sunday at the invitation of the CPC. Besides Beijing, the delegation will also visit Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, and Shanghai.
