Beijing Reception Marks 39th Anniversary of Sino-DPRK Treaty
The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a reception Monday evening to mark the 39th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
CPAFFC President Qi Huaiyuan said at the occasion that the signing of the treaty laid a solid foundation for the consolidation and development of the traditional friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
The friendly cooperation between the two countries has continued to grow with efforts from the State leaders and departments of the two countries, Qi said.
The DPRK's ambassador to China, Chu Chang Jun, said that the treaty cemented the mutual support and cooperation between the two peoples in their socialist construction.
