Overseas Chinese Hold Conference to Promote Peaceful Reunification
A conference by overseas Chinese to promote China's peaceful reunification will be held in Berlin on August 26 and 27, according to a news briefing held Sunday in the Great Hall of the People.
The goal of the conference is to peacefully reunite the motherland and defend the sovereignty of China. The conference will bring together Chinese from all over the world interested in unifying China and are opposed to "Taiwan Independence".
During the conference, renowned scholars and people from China and overseas discuss topics such as "Promoting Cross-Strait Relationships on the Principle of One China" and "Cross-Strait Exchanges and Cooperation in Culture and Trade". A benefit performance and painting exhibition will also be held in conjunction with the conference.
The conference is sponsored by the European branch of the China Association for Promoting Peaceful Reunification.
