Album about Dunhuang Treasures Published

A series of coffee table books entitled "The Complete Collection of Dunhuang Grottos" has recently been published by the Shanghai People's Publishing House.

The complete set comprises of 28 volumes and exhibits the most complete collection of Dunhuang grotto art to date. It contains more than 7,000 color pictures and 1.4 million words.

A team of photographers from the Dunhuang Studies Academy took new pictures of murals and sculptures of five grottos in Dunhuang for this album. The text written by Dunhuang experts reflects the progress made in studying Dunhuang for the past hundred years, making it easier to understand for the layman. The album is compiled by Dunhuang Studies Academy.
