Internet to Link Chinese Enterprises with World
China has initiated a nationwide technological project to help Chinese enterprises establish websites on the Internet.
The project will be jointly carried out by the State Economic and Trade Commission, major state-owned enterprises and industrial associations, according to a teleconference held in this capital of south China's Guangdong Province Friday.
More than 3,000 governmental officials and business people from 200 related departments, enterprises, associations and telecommunication companies attended the meeting.
Through the project, Chinese enterprises will have chance to conduct electronic business and implement modern management via Internet, a local economic official said.
At the same time, information about the enterprises will make them known better by the outside world, he said.
