China, Vietnam Exchange Instruments of Ratification on Land Border TreatyChina and Vietnam Thursday exchanged instruments of ratification on their land border treaty.Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Vietnamese Assistant Foreign Minister Le Cong Phung, on behalf of their respective countries, exchanged the documents. China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee and Vietnam's National Assembly ratified the treaty in April and June, respectively. The treaty was signed by Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cam on December 30, 1999. |
