Senior CPC Official Meets Vietnamese GuestsLi Tieying, a member of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee and president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), met Friday with a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).The CPV delegation is led by Nguyen Ninh Triet, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee and Secretary of the CPV Ho Chi Minh City Committee. Li spoke favorably of the friendly cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries. He expressed his appreciation for the active efforts made by the Vietnamese Party and State leaders in promoting the stable development of relations between the two parties and the two countries. Li said that China is willing to work with Vietnam to push forward the long-term stable, friendly and all-round cooperative Sino-Vietnamese relations. Li also briefed the guests on China's domestic political and economic situation. Nguyen Ninh Triet spoke highly of the achievements made by China in its reform and opening-up drive. He said that Vietnam is willing to share experiences with China with regard to socialist construction and Party building and to further the friendly cooperation between the two parties and the two nations. He briefed the Chinese side on the Vietnamese domestic situation. Deputy Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Dai Bingguo and the Vietnamese ambassador to China Bui Hong Phuc were among those present at the meeting. The Vietnamese guests are here at the invitation of the CPC.
