Beijing's Medium & Small Enterprises to End Single National Ownership
Beijing Government declared recently that it will spend about 3 years completing the reform of the property right system relating to medium and small state- and collective-owned industrial enterprises, so as to realize strategic readjustment of these enterprises.
Liu Haiyan, deputy mayor of Beijing, said at the working conference on promoting the reform of medium and small enterprises of Beijing on Thursday that by the end of this year, the proportion of Beijing's medium and small state-owned enterprises to all the local enterprises of the same sizes will drop to less than 10 percent. State- and collective-owned enterprises will accounts for no more than 50 percent of all the local medium and small enterprises. State-owned and collective enterprises with single investment provider will no longer exist in the medium and small industrial enterprises field in three years.
It is reported that among the over 60,000 industrial enterprises in Beijing, medium and small enterprises account for 92.3 percent. From January to May this year, 1302 medium and small local industrial enterprises finished the reform of their property right system, the number of which is two times that of last year.
