Highway Transportation Volumes Up Over 1.6% in First Half of This Year
According to the statistics provided by the Highway Department of the Ministry of Communications on July 5, China's highway transportation market saw a slight increase between this January and June. The volumes of passenger and freight transportation increased over 1.6 percent on the same period last year.
Sources say that the highway carried a total of 6.47 billion person-times in the first half of this year, up 1.6 percent over the same period last year. The volume of goods transported hit 4.73 billion ton-kilometers, up 1.7 percent.
