Weather Not to Affect College Entrance Exams

Weather conditions in most parts of China will be favorable from July 7-9 when the national college entrance exam is held.

Some 3.8 million students are scheduled to take part the exam, that boasts the largest number of examinees in the world.

According to the China's Central Meteorological Station, southern China will not see heavy rainfall or high temperatures that could affect local transportation systems, though intermittent rainfall is forecast for some parts in the area.

Meanwhile, northern and northeast China and the Yellow River and Huai River valleys will experience clouds and rain, with the highest temperature expected to be 35 degrees Celsius.

Clear weather conditions will dominate northwest China during the period, with temperatures ranging from 34-37 degrees, meteorologists said.
