Appraisal of Tenth China News Award AnnouncedSponsored by All-China Journalists Association, the Tenth China News Award, the highest award for the annual comprehensive news writings in China, was announced on July 4. More than 190 excellent news articles were awarded, including 7 pieces of special prize, 24 first prize, 57 second prize and 102 third prize.Nine pieces of news writings by People's Daily carried off the prizes, that include an editorial under the title of "Long Live Our Motherland" designed for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the NATO's Bombing of Chinese Embassy in Belgrade with the former awarded the special prize and the latter the first prize respectively. |
