62 Injured in Bus Accident in East India

Sixty-two passengers were injured, 19 of them seriously, when a private bus overturned in the coastal state of Orissa in east India on Tuesday morning, the Press Trust of India (PTI)reported in New Delhi.

There were over 100 persons in the bus, said the PTI, adding that there were four women and two children among the 19 seriously injured passengers.

The driver, cleaner and conductor of the vehicle were absconding, and local police had registered a case to inquire into the mishap, the PTI reported.
