A Liaison Office Set up by Zhongguancun in American Silicon Valley
China sees a Liaison Office set up by Zhongguancunin in American Silicon Valley. It is the first of its kind stationed abroad, which has announced its opening recently.
Sources say that the office has built up a tie between Zhongguancun and the Silicon Valley, providing a foundation for the cooperation of the two places.
Liu Zhihua, vice mayor of Beijing Municipality said that the office is aiming at making Zhongguancun known abroad, getting in touch with overseas scholars and experts and providing services for the development of Zhongguancun, thereby attracting more high-quality talents to take part in the construction of Zhongguancun.
This year, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park has as reported focused its attention on taking in talents as its main work. As a new mechanism system expected to be set up by 2002 it is conducive to soliciting and encouraging more intellectual talents to come, and to technological innovation.
