New Device Flushes Toilet with Glass of Water
A newly developed device can wash clean a toilet with only a glass of water.
The device can wash down waste efficiently by spraying about 0. 2 liters of high-pressure water each time. Water that has been used to wash vegetables or clothes can be used to clean the toilet with the device.
The device will help save some 12 liters of water for each cleaning, according to its inventor, the Jinniu Environmental Protection Equipment Plant of Dashiqiao city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
The capacity of the water tanks of toilets in China ranges from nine to 13 liters, while the international standard is six liters.
Flush toilets are becoming popular in urban areas in China.
Meanwhile, more than 400 of China's 668 cities are facing water shortages, and of them more than 100 are seriously threatened.
