Youth and Students Organizations to Convene

The All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) plans to hold the First Plenum of its Ninth National Committee, while the All-China Students' Federation (ACSF) will hold its 23rd National Congress from July 10 to 15 om Beijing.

The ACYF and the ACSF will map out their work for the coming five years, revise their constitutions and reshuffle their leading bodies at the meetings.

Some 1,180 members of the ACYF and 490 member of the ACSF, including five currently studying abroad, will attended the meetings.

Founded on May 4, 1949, the ACYF safeguards the legitimate rights of Chinese young people and organizes them to join social activities.

The 81-year-old ACSF leads the nationwide 100,000 students' unions and links the nation's 80 million college and middle school students.
