China Building World's Largest Goose Liver FactoryChina is building the world's largest goose liver processing plant in its southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.The construction of the factory, located in Beihai city, is scheduled to be completed in four years with an investment of 10 million yuan (US$ 1.2 million). The plant is designed to produce 1,000 tons of goose liver annually, sources said. The goose liver is a delicious food popular in Europe and the United States and annual demand for the goose liver has reached more than 10,000 tons on the world market. Guangxi is best known for its Chinese geese, known as the "lion head goose". |
