Tibet to hold Economic And Trade Fair in Hong Kong
The Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China will hold a large economic and trade fair in Hong Kong in October to show its achievements over the past four decades and woo domestic and overseas investment.
Xu Mingyang, vice-chairman of Tibet, said this was part of Tibet's effort to further stimulate the region's economic development by taking advantage of the country's drive to develop its vast western areas.
During the fair, photo exhibitions, and shows on cultural relics and folk customs will help visitors have a profound understanding of Tibet and its unique culture, the official said.
Tibet is now working on a series of preferential policies to attract investment, Xu added.
