Yunnan Defeats Qingdao 2-1 in Chinese First Division League

Yunnan Hongta overcame a one-goal deficit at half-time to beat visiting Qingdao Hainiu 2-1 in China's first division soccer league on Sunday.

After trailing 1-0 at break, Yunnan defender Liu Yue blasted a powerful shot in the 70th minute. The Qingdao goalie tried to save but could only see the ball bounced off his hands to land in the net.

Ten minutes later, Yunnan midfielder Chang Hui was fouled while dribbling in the area and was awarded a penalty kick, which was converted to seal Yunnan's victory.

In Chengdu, Sichuan Province, a header from Yao Xia gave Sichuan Quanxin a 1-0 victory over visiting Jilin Aodong.

In the 35th minute, Yao, who is only 1.68-meter tall, soared unexpectedly above the higher players to head in the ball.

In Beijing, Beijing Guo'an squandered a 2-0 half-time lead before being forced to a 3-3 tie by visiting Shanghai Shenhua. Wang Tao of Beijing and Shanghai's Qi Hong scored a double each, with Wang netting twice in the first half and Qi in the second.

It was the second consecutive game that Wang scored a double.

In other games, Shandong Luneng beat Shenzhen Ping'an 3-1 while Xiamen Xiaxin tied with Shenyang Haishi 1-1.

Liaoning Fushun lost to Dalian Shide 2-1 and Chongqing Longxin tied with visitors Tianjin Taida 1-1.
