Agricultural Investment Fair to Be Held in Guangzhou

Guangzhou, capital of south China 's Guangdong Province, will host an agricultural investment promotion fair on July 11-12.

The Guangzhou city government has announced it has prepared some 100 agricultural projects in need of funding.

Among them are projects on processing of farm produce and sideline products, comprehensive agricultural developments, and eco-agricultural projects.

By 1999, Guangzhou had approved 220 overseas-financed agricultural projects, which garnered 362 million US dollars in foreign funding.

The investors were from Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Canada, the United States, Japan and Singapore, as well as from Hong Kong and Taiwan of China.
