Brazil Nips China 3-2 on Golden Goal

Cidinha's spot kick golden goal gave Brazil a 3-2 win over Olympic and world runner-up China Saturday in the semifinals of the women's CONCACAF Gold Cup in Louisville, Kentucky.

Brazil was to play either the United States or Canada in the Gold Cup championship game Monday at Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Cidinha's goal came after Wang Liping pushed down Formiga just inside the penalty box in the final minute of the first 15-minute extra period.

Katia da Silva scored in the 11th minute and Roseli in the 60th for Brazil, while Shui Qingxia found the net in the ninth and Qiu Haiyan in the 75th for China.
