Chinese President Attends Concert

General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and Chinese President Jiang Zemin attended a concert this evening at the Zhongshan Park Concert Hall in downtown Beijing.

The concert was held by the Ministry of Culture to mark the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of China.

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing and other senior officials were also in the audience.
