The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing plans to publish ten important academic books in the coming five years, including the proposed 210-volume History of Various Countries.

The other nine books are Selected Works of CASS Scholars, History of Western Aesthetics, Textual Research on History of Chinese Legal System, Chinese Archaeology, Dictionary of Historical Place Names, History of World Civilization, Vicissitudes in Modern Chinese Society, History of Chinese Kuomintang from 1894 to 1949, and History of Shang Dynasty (B.C. 16 c - 11 c).

The China Social Sciences Publishing House and China Social Sciences Documentation Publishing House will produce the acclaimed scholarly works.
