Fashion Festival in Dalian
There is good news for those who follow fashion: the 12th Dalian International Fashion Festival will be held in Dalian of Liaoning Province, September 16-25.
Listed as one of the three top international fashion festivals in China (the other two are held in Beijing and Shanghai), Dalian International Fashion Festival has attracted many leaders and celebrities at home and abroad during the past 11 festivals.
Wang Chengmin, vice-mayor of Dalian, said at a press conference on Thursday that the festival has prepared about a dozen large-scale events for people to feast their eyes on.
A total of 5,500 people will perform in the large-scale evening performance named "Hello, New Century" in the stadium on the first day of the festival.
Business people can find trade opportunities in the International Garment Fair & China Garment Export Fair from September 16 to 25.
International fashion masters Ermenegildo Zegna, Les Copains and Etro from Italy will hold fashion shows during the festival.
People who like excitement can attend the carnival held on September 16 and 17 which features a parade with people on floats, music and Chinese traditional dances.
