China Decreases International Postage
The State Administration of Post Friday announced that it will decrease the international EMS postage by an average of ten percent as of July 1.
The postage of parcel to the Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, Vietnam and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, will be decreased by 30 percent in average.
The decreases follow a drop of postage of EMS to Hong Kong and Macao last April.
Tang Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the administration said that the postage fall will help improve the competition edge for China Post.
He denied possibility of adjusting domestic postage in the near future.
China's EMS began providing service in 1980, and for the past twenty years, the country has set up business relations with more than 200 countries and regions in the world.
