Hainan Airlines Broadens Routes
From June 30 on passengers will be able to buy tickets in Taiwan to fly directly from Macao to Sanya, a beautiful port city in southern China's Hainan Province.
Previously, the people of Taiwan had to buy their tickets in Macao - a major transfer point - to fly to the Chinese mainland.
Donitr328-300 jets with outstanding services will make the new route, which has been appropriately named the Sunny Home Line, a spokesman for Hainan Airlines said.
This is the first time that the 11-year-old Hainan Airlines will operate a route dedicated to taking passengers from outside the mainland to or from Hainan.
Also to be introduced this year are two other new routes connecting Hainan with Hong Kong and South Korea. Direct flights to Southeast Asia are the company's goals for the near future.
