Dramatized "Souls of Red Crag" Exhibition Welcomed in Beijing
"Souls of Red Crag", a dramatized exhibition in memory of revolutionary martyrs during the civil war period (1945-1949) received thundering applause from a Beijing audience Thursday evening.

"Souls of Red Crag" was presented by actors from Chongqing Municipality in west China. It tells how members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and their followers fought against the Kuomintang rulers right before New China was founded in 1949. The performance was attended by Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing and Ding Guangen, head of the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee.

At the close of the show, Li and other officials went onstage to shake hands with the actors, who are all workers from the Chongqing Geleshan Revolutionary Memorial Hall.

The officials congratulated the actors' on their accurate interpretation of the communist fighters' heroic deeds in a Kuomintang detention center at Red Crag in Chongqing.
