China's Airlines Improving Cargo Transport BusinessChina's airlines have been introducing more cargo planes or transferring passenger planes to carrying cargo, due to the significant increase of cargo transport business recently.Air China plans to invest in cargo business, while postponing its purchase of passenger planes. China Cargo Airlines will also assemble the third MD-11 cargo plane in August, with which the carrier will increase the flights to Hong Kong, Southeastern Asia, the United States and Europe. China Southern Airlines also plans to introduce B747-400 cargo planes flying on the Shenzhen-Chicago route. China Southern Airlines President Yan Zhiqin revealed that his company will also establish an international cargo transport center in Shenzhen, developing international long-distance cargo service. Yan predicted that China's cargo transport market will maintain an annual growth rate of over 10 percent in the next ten years.
