A new air route by Civil Aviation Administration of China has been approved successful in passenger-carrying pilot flight on June 23 and 27, which is at an average altitude of 6,000 meters above the mountains and deserts of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
Its navigation and monitoring system are constructed via satellite positioning and data chaining techniques, according to our correspondent.
The new route named L888 starts at the national boundaries between China and Laos, with its full length running to 3,200 kilometers within Chinese territory. Since the route is made up by track points defined by latitude and longitude without any navigation equipment on the ground, it can avoid many detours and shorten the voyage by 40 minutes.
