Chinese NPC Vice-Chairman Meets King Sihanouk

The visiting Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), Wang Guangying, paid a courtesy call to Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk Wednesday.

During the meeting, King Sihanouk asked Wang to convey his best wishes to Chinese President Jiang Zemin and other Chinese leaders who have continued to support and give assistance to Cambodia.

Wang hoped the long-term friendship and cultural cooperation between the two countries will last for generations.

Wang arrived here Tuesday on a five-day goodwill visit. Prior to his arrival in Cambodia, Wang had visited Indonesia from June 21 to 25.
