Beijing Reception Marks 25th Anniversary of China-Mozambique Diplomatic TiesThe Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a reception Wednesday to mark the 25th anniversary of China-Mozambique diplomatic relations.CPAFFC President Qi Huaiyuan, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Guchang, and Mozambique Ambassador to China Jose Maria Morais attended the reception. Qi said in his speech that China and Mozambique have maintained frequent high-level visits in the past 25 years, adding that the cooperation between the two countries in various fields has produced fruitful results. Qi thanked the Mozambique government for its adherence to the one-China policy and its support for China's reunification and its support to China on the human rights issue. Morais said that the Chinese people and government have provided unselfish aid and support to Mozambique in its struggle for independence and since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He said that the friendship between the two countries has been growing continuously, adding that he hopes the friendship and solidarity between the two countries will be further consolidated and developed with joint efforts from both sides.
