2 U.N. FAO Employees Killed in Iraq

Two employees of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization were killed and several others injured in an attack in Iraq on Wednesday, a U.N. source in the Iraqi capital Baghdad told Xinhua.

Among the two killed, one has been identified as Iraqi, but the nationality of the other is still unclear.

The cause of the attack is not immediately known, but a local news report said the casualties resulted in an exchange of fire between unknown militants and the police.

The U.N. organization is expected to hold a press conference at 17:00 local time (1300 GMT) to make comment on the tragedy, the source said.
