CPC Conference on Ideological and Political Work Opens in Beijing
The ideological and political work conference of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee opened Wednesday morning.
Jiang Zemin, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, attended today's meeting and delivered an important speech.
The meeting was presided over by Hu Jintao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
The two-day conference is aimed at enhancing and improving the party's ideological and political work under the new situation.
