Seventeen drug traffickers were executed Monday in Chongqing, southwestern China.
The executed include four members of a family involved in drug dealing, a local report said.
Since last year's International Anti-Drug Day, police in Chongqing municipality have handled 4,955 drug-related cases, detaining 2,615 drug dealers and seizing 98 kg of heroin, 632 MDMA tablets, or amphetamines, said a local official responsible for anti-drug work.
