Telecommunication in Parts of China Disrupted by Solar Motion

Short wave telecommunication in parts of China was disrupted due to solar activity Tuesday.

The short wave telecommunication connections from Manzhouli in northeast China to Xinxiang in Central China and from east China' s Qingdao to Xinxiang stopped from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Experts said that so called "coronal holes", on the surface of the sun caused the trouble.

Scientists have warned that solar activity is now in a peak period, one that occurs every 11 years, and will have some effect on power supplies and communications systems on earth.

Since the beginning of this month, telecommunications in China have been repeatedly interrupted by solar storms.
