Teleconference Held on Military Training Based on Science, Technology
The essence of a national teleconference on military training based on science and technology held in Beijing Tuesday was that the new approach offers the most efficient way to train the army.
General Fu Quanyou, chief of the General Staff and a member of the Central Military Commission, addressed the meeting, which was attended by leaders of the headquarters of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and major military units in Beijing.
Fu said that to incorporate science and technology into military training is a major step for carrying out the important instructions by Jiang Zemin, chairman of the Central Military Commission, and making preparation for any military conflict.
The army official called science and technology-based military training a smart strategy that will have a profound effect on the build-up of the armed forces.
