Chinese Students Receive Matsushita ScholarshipTen graduates from the nation's top universities received the Matsushita Scholarship today. They will pursue graduate studies in Japan next year.At the awarding ceremony, Song Jian, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the China-Japan Friendship Association, encouraged the students to treasure their opportunity and to study hard. The Matsushita Scholarship, set up by the Japan-based Matsushita Industrial Co., Ltd. in 1998, sponsors students from China and southeast Asian nations for further study in Japan. So far, 24 Chinese students have won the scholarship. |
