Meritorious Party Units, Members, Workers Rewarded
A conference to reward meritorious grassroots units, members and Party workers of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s central departments was held in Beijing Monday.
Hu Jintao and Li Lanqing, both members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, met representatives from grass-root Party units and outstanding Party members and Party workers.
Hu, also a state vice president, addressed the conference on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. He encouraged those rewarded to play an exemplary role and make greater contributions to Party building.
Some 400 people, 223 representatives of the grassroots Party units and outstanding Party members and Party workers attended the Conference.
