China Greets International Anti-drug Day

June 26 is the International Anti-drug Day, on June 25 various activities were held across China to strike at drug-related criminals and advocate the social mores of "cherishing life and rejecting narcotics".

On the morning of June 25, southwest China's Guizhou Province held a 10,000-person rally in Liupanshui City to bring a batch of drug dealers to a public trial and destroyed over 260 kg of various drugs on the site of the meeting.

On the same day, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region publicly burned 1,429.35 kg of heroin. All of the burned heroin was seized by local police from last year till this May.

Over 10,000 teenagers in Changchun City of northeast China's Jilin Province signed their names on two white banners, demonstrating their determination to "cherish life and reject narcotics".

Henan Province opened the hotline for drug control. People can acquire knowledge on drug and drug prohibition through the hotline and report on any clues for drug-related crimes as well.
