Prices of Raw Materials in China Up

The latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show that China's raw materials prices went up in April.

The price index of total raw materials in April was 105.30, taking that of the same month last year as 100. The price index stood at 104.79 in March and 103.61 in February.

The price index of non-ferrous metal materials and electric wires stood high at 118.44 in April, representing the biggest price hike.

Prices of farm and sideline products suffered a decline during that time, with a price index of 96.77, the lowest of all products.
