Chongqing Police Arrest Drug Dealers
The police in this southwest China metropolis arrested earlier this month four suspected drug dealers and confiscated more than 50 kg of heroin.
The case is said to be the largest involving drug trafficking that has ever occurred in the city since the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949.
The police also seized 129,000 yuan (about 15,650 U.S. dollars) in drug funds and two vehicles used to transport drugs.
The drug dealers confessed that they had bought the heroin from a citizen of Myanmar in early June and sold drugs mixed with coffee in Chongqing.
