SW China Province Destroys 20 Kg Drug
Sichuan Province in southwest China destroyed 20 kg of drug today in the provincial capital of Chengdu as part of the local government's efforts to crack down on drug-trafficking.
Twenty-two drug-traffickers have been sentenced to death or to life imprisonment.
Over the past years, the local government has cracked down on drug-related crimes. In the first four months of the year, local police handled more than 2,000 drug-smuggling cases.
