Will of a Falun Gong Practitioner

Li Jucai, a retired cadre suffering from cancer and former staff member of Dongfeng School of Beishankou Town in Gongyi City, Henan Province, was once a Falun Gong practitioner. Easily believing in Li Hongzhi's absurd theories, he suspended medical treatment and so his illness took a turn for the worse. On his deathbed, Li drew up a three-point will, warning his descendants not to practice Fulun Gong any more.

Li Jucai was a State functionary and had actively taken part in the construction of his hometown after retirement. He was particularly concerned with the educational undertaking in his hometown, therefore he was invited to work at Dongfeng School. In October 1997, he felt unwell and was diagnosed as being attacked by gastric cancer. Thanks to the early discovery of the disease, Li recovered speedily after being treated in the Attached Hospital of Henan Medical University. Just at that time, he was told that one could get illness cured without taking pills and having injection if only he practiced Fulun Gong. Li, who was seeking to survive and anxious to save money, was beside himself with joy and then joined the ranks of practicing Fulun Gong.

Deceived by the evil theory of Falun Gong, Li henceforth ceased taking any pills or having injection. However, his illness was deteriorating in less than one year. He began to doubt whether Falun Gong could cure disease. At this very moment, news media successively reported that plotted and directed by Li Hongshi, some of the Falun Gong practitioners unlawfully gathered at and beleaguered Zhongnanhai, the site of the Chinese central government, and that the Government decided to ban Falun Gong organizations. As a result of deep introspection, Li Jucai finally woke up to reality and found himself to be taken in. Li Hongshi is not at all the so-called savior and everything he boasts of is sinister and deceptive.

Li Jucai regreted deeply and felt that he had disappointed the Party and the State, and missed the chances to thoroughly cure his disease as well. He no longer believed in the evil theory of Li Hongshi, and immediately handed in all his books and tapes on Falun Gong and materials for practice and broke completely with Falun Gong. Nevertheless, due to the suspension of medical treatment, cancer cells had spread to the whole body. On November 24, 1999, Li, on the point of death after passing 65 years of life, asked his wife to call all the family members together and drew up a three-point will in the presence of leaders, teachers and students coming to visit him:

"First, I'm always a member of the Communist Party of China no matter whether I'm alive or dead. I once lost my alertness and went astray. My practice of Falun Gong had produced very bad influence on the Party, so I asked it for punishment.

Second, Falun Gong is harmful to the people. I myself served as a lesson paid for blood which should be borne firmly in mind. None of my descendants is allowed to practice Falun Gong, please tell my relatives and friends that they must not join the heretic Falun Gong organization; those who have joined should break away from it immediately, otherwise it will be too late for them to regret when calamity falls on them like me;

Third, I exhort descendents of my family to believe in science, trust the Party and the Government and to be law-abiding citizens.
